Taste the Good Life at the Mount Chepstow
A chance to celebrate local quality produce in beautiful historic surroundings takes place at The Mount, Chepstow on May 20th.
The Mount will be opening its doors to people who wish to view the beautiful 200 year old restored merchant house and courtyard development, offering visitors the opportunity to sample some of the area’s best locally sourced delicacies. Some of the delicacies on offer at the event, which takes place from 4.30pm to 7pm, include home cured hams and pies from H.J.Edwards of Newhall Farm Shop to high quality wines from Monnow Valley and local cider from Ty Gwyn farm, presented by Tom Innes of Fingal Rock wine merchants and shippers.
The Mount is a beautifully restored 200 year old property that has been refurbished and converted into luxury living accommodation with a small courtyard development of new build homes, which are designed to complement the historic house and have been built using locally sourced materials such as Welsh Slate.
Charles Collier, of developers Bovale, said: “The Mount is set well back off the road, surrounded by extensive grounds, and many local people don’t realise that it’s open to view. This special event will give people the chance to visit the site whilst sampling delicious high quality local produce in elegant surroundings.
“We look forward to welcoming everyone at the event on May 20th.”
