Major investment in multiple sites

Bovale Ltd is bucking current market trends with a substantial land purchase that includes seven former Premier Foods sites with an estimated total development value of £100m.  The deal illustrates the company’s confidence in the future and extends its geographical reach beyond Shropshire and the Midlands well into the Northern region.

The sites, which total just over 44 hectares (109 acres), span Stoke-on-Trent, Greater Manchester and Doncaster. The majority are brownfield sites that require initial remediation works by Bovale, prior to their redevelopment. Although plans have not yet been announced for individual sites, it is anticipated that they will variously be regenerated for employment use, residential and mixed development, according to Harris Lamb, Bovale’s Planning Consultants on the project.

Commenting on behalf of Bovale, Managing Director Charles Collier said, “We are very pleased to have secured these sites, which are well located and have strong potential. This is a substantial deal, in keeping with our strategic long term plans and our determination to deliver excellent development opportunities from challenging brownfield sites.”
